ABOUT ME

I am an HCPC-registered Dramatherapist, trained in Drama and Movement Therapy through the Sesame Approach. I work relationally, listening to what is spoken and to what may emerge through movement, image, rhythm, play, silence, sensation or atmosphere.

My practice is shaped by psychodynamic and Jungian thinking, alongside story, myth, ritual and imagination. I pay attention to symbolism, energy and the felt quality of a space, including forms of knowing that are not always verbal or immediately explainable.

Therapy happens between people. Neither of us enters that relationship without a body, an identity or a history. I am fat, queer and neurodivergent. Much of my life has been lived between Cyprus and the UK. Sometimes it matters to know something about the person sitting across from you. Shared identity does not mean shared experience, and I will never assume I understand yours because of mine. Sometimes, none of this will matter to the work at all.

DRAMATHERAPY

There is nothing you need to perform, and no particular way you need to arrive.

Dramatherapy is a form of psychotherapy that can bring conversation together with movement, story, role, image, play, objects, sound, silence and imagination. You do not need any experience of drama, and there is no right way to take part.

Sometimes we may talk for the whole session. At other times, an image, a movement, an object or a story may offer another way of approaching something that is difficult to put into words or meet directly. What we use is shaped by you, the relationship between us and what feels possible in the moment.

I will not assume that something you make, choose or imagine has one fixed meaning. We can be curious together about what emerges and find ways of working that feel useful to you.

WORKING TOGETHER

01

Individual Dramatherapy

I offer one-to-one dramatherapy to adults, children and young people.

I currently have availability for online individual sessions.

02

Group Dramatherapy

I facilitate therapeutic groups shaped around the people who are there, the relationships that develop between them and the particular life of the group.

Groups may be ongoing or developed in response to a particular setting, community or need.

03

For Schools & Organisations

If you are enquiring on behalf of a school or organisation, I can develop individual or group dramatherapy provision in response to your setting.

The structure, frequency and focus of the work are agreed together and can include ongoing provision or time-limited therapeutic projects.

EXPERIENCE

Much of my clinical experience has been with children and young people, particularly those who are neurodivergent or have learning disabilities and complex communication needs, across specialist education, community and clinical settings.

This work has taught me to attend closely to pace, sensory experience, non-verbal communication and the many ways relationship can develop beyond words. With adults, that same attention can mean making room for what is difficult to articulate, noticing what happens in the body, and finding other ways into experience when words are not enough.

Reduced-fee spaces

I keep a small number of reduced-fee spaces for people on lower incomes. I know that the cost of therapy matters, and if £85 is not manageable for you, please ask about availability.

Where the work can move and take form.

I facilitate workshops, gatherings and experiential work bringing together movement, story, image, myth, ritual, imagination and reflection.

These are spaces for exploration, learning and shared experience rather than ongoing therapy. Some are public; others are developed with schools, organisations, training programmes and communities.

I welcome invitations, commissions and collaborations.
